Every Fall season, when I was growing up, my family would drive up the mountain

to my Aunt and Uncle's forest to cut our winter supply of firewood. 

I had a lot of fun running around those woods - 

picking wild blackberries, gathering pine cones and generally being mischievous. 

... and every time my mother would make me wear a bright yellow coat 

so hunters would not "mistake" me for a deer.

I remember that I wasn't so keen about having to wear that bright yellow coat, 

but I am pretty keen about these wonderful  "deer inspired"  Etsy finds.

Vintage 1960s "Paint by Numbers" Framed Art

Dress up your Holiday Decor with some wonderful mid century wall art! 

A set of two 1960s original "Paint by Number" paintings. 

I have always been a big fan of the mid century fad "paint-by-numbers" - the ingenious idea that brought the art of painting to the masses. With easy instruction and a fail proof method of direction - anyone could create their own masterpieces!

My research indicates that these particular pieces were were done from 

the 1963 kit called "Roses" made by Craft Master of Canada.

Both are very well done and in excellent condition. 

Their rich red and green colors would make a nice compliment
to a festive Holiday decor.

Plus they are ready to hang - how easy is that!

I dig all things vintage and since I come from a long line of "Antique Collectors", you might say that I come by it naturally. 

I love to re-use or re-purpose vintage goods and antique treasures in my own home and life, so I am thrilled that I am able to offer to 

you an eclectic mix of quality retro goods in my own shop.

I am also an artist,

a wife to a great guy who loves to collect vintage radios,

and a "mom" to a sweet Shetland Sheepdog.
